January
4:30 PM Friday, 8th: “Lego Lift-off” - Create a Lego world at the library.
4:30 PM Tuesday, 12th: “Nutmeg Book Club” - Discussion of Archer’s Quest and Double Identity. The books are available at the library.
10:30 AM Saturday, 16th : “Mrs. Cardot’s Craft Corner” – A morning of creative fun!
1 PM Tuesday, 19th: Genealogy expert Elina vanden Berg will be at the library to answer all your questions about how to do research online. She’ll have many resources to share.
4:30 PM Tuesday, 19th: “Nutmeg Book Club” – Discussion of Drita, and The Ghost’s Grave.
4:30 PM Tuesday, 26th: “Nutmeg Book Club” – Discussion of Paint the Wind, The Stumptown Kid, and The Year of the Dog. We’ll have pizza party and vote for your favorite book.
6:30 PM Thursday, 28th: “Penguin Picnic” – Celebrate National Penguin Awareness Day with us as we sing, read stories, dance the Penguin Polka and enjoy a picnic.
February
4:30 PM Tuesday, 2nd: “Groundhogs from the Lutz Museum” – Come meet a real groundhog up close and personal!
6:30 PM Thursday, 11th: “Valentine Crafts” – Make something for someone you love!
10 AM to 2 PM Saturday, 13th: “Cupcake Love” – A cupcake decorating fundraiser. Make a cupcake for somebody special. We’ll have all the fixings for a sweet treat.
6:30 PM Thursday, 18th: “Chinese New Year Celebration” – Celebrate the year of the Tiger with us. Stories, crafts, games, food, music and prizes!
4:30 PM Tuesday, 23rd: “Feed the Birds” – Make a homemade pinecone birdfeeder!
March
4:30 PM Tuesday, 2nd: “Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration” – Come dressed as your favorite character and read some silly stories with us!
6:30 PM Thursday, 11th: “Johnny Appleseed Day” – Apple stories, crafts and games to honor one of America’s great men.
10 AM Saturday, 20th: “Kiddie CAT Author Gayle Byrne” – One of Connecticut’s newest children’s authors will come talk about her book.
Book signing with refreshments also!
6:30 PM Thursday, 25th: “Limitless Legos” – Build a creation as big as your imagination.
