November 2009
6:30 PM Thursday, 5th: “Playing With Food” – Create Edible Masterpieces
6:30 PM Thursday, 12th: “Drum Craft” – Make your own homemade drum to take home. We’ll have plenty of Indian stories and music too.
9-2 PM Saturday, 21st: Semi-annual Book, Baked Goods and Plant Sale
4:30 PM Tuesday, 24th: “Giving Thanks” – Stories, crafts, and music
December
6: 30 PM Tuesday, 1st: “Farewell Open House” - Come say goodbye to Debbie, our Library Assistant, as she begins a new adventure in her life. All are welcome.
6:30 PM Thursday, 3rd: “Recycling Crafts” – We’ll turn trash into treasures.
6:30 PM Thursday, 17th: “Movie Time” – Enjoy a holiday movie and popcorn with us.
11 AM Tuesday, 29th: “Happy New Year” – Help us count down to 12 o’clock noon. Bring your noisemakers for our parade.
January
4:30 PM Tuesday, 5th: “Nutmeg Book Club” – For 3rd to 6th Graders. We’ll meet every Tuesday in January to discuss the nominated books. Week 1 we’ll discuss: Attack of the Turtle, A Dog’s Life: An Autobiography of a Stray and Rules. Refreshments will be served.
4:30 PM Friday, 8th: “Lego Lift-off” - Create a Lego world at the library. Ages 4 and up.
4:30 PM Tuesday, 12th: “Nutmeg Book Club” - Discussion of Archer’s Quest and Double Identity. The books are available at the library.
4:30 PM Tuesday, 19th: “Nutmeg Book Club” – Discussion of Drita, and The Ghost’s Grave.
4:30 PM Tuesday, 26th: “Nutmeg Book Club” – Discussion of Paint the Wind, The Stumptown Kid, and The Year of the Dog. We’ll have pizza party and vote for your favorite book.
6:30 PM Thursday, 28th: “Penguin Picnic” – Celebrate Nation Penguin Awareness Day with us as we sing, read stories, dance the Penguin Polka and enjoy a picnic.
