Connecticut Authors Trail

Take a road trip and visit local libraries and meet Connecticut authors this summer! It's a great way to have a "staycation" and see the beautiful quiet corner. The programs are free. Participants are given a “passport” with a map and list of different speaking engagements, then get a stamp when they visit each library to meet the authors. For the final event, chefs Bruce Weinstein and Mark Scarbrough will talk about their new cookbook, “Cooking Know-How” at 7 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Cabaret Theater in Mohegan Sun. The kickoff event will be held July 16 at the Janet Carlson Calvert Library in Franklin. Jonathan Trumbull Library in Lebanon is stop #2. The Guilford Smith library was lucky enough to have two outstanding authors come in September.
