Inside the Library

We are all aware of the ongoing financial crisis that has affected everyone. Now more than ever we want to remain a vibrant place for you to visit and find the resources you need for free. When the library first began in 1930 the dues were just 50 cents. In 2005 we asked you to increase your dues from $1 to a $5 donation and you have responded generously. We want to remind you that we are committed to providing you the latest books and maintaining the beautiful home of Mr. Guilford Smith in historic South Windham. The library is a lovely place on the inside and outside and all are welcome to come and learn. As always, we need your help to maintain the resources of your library in these difficult times. The town of Windham helps some, but not nearly enough. Your donations are important to us. Your suggestions are even more important. Tell us where we can improve and how you would like to see your money spent. We have a blue suggestion box at the front desk for you to leave your thoughts on books we should buy or other ideas. As always, we thank you for attending events, donating money, and supporting us. <!--break-->
